Resuming Osteopathy Treatments - 2 October 2020
As I get ready to resume Osteopathy treatments, I will update safety protocols in due course.
I am looking forward to catching up with everyone.
Therapeutic Massages - as of 1st May 2018
I have taken a lot of your feedback on-board and introduced a bigger range of massages. Especially after being told "I want to be able look after myself, before I get all messed up and need osteopathy." Fair enough.
For those of you who want to feel you are looking after yourselves and have no issues requiring osteopathy, massages are now available ranging from 30 minutes through to an hour and 15 minutes. Each booking will have an added 15 minutes available for discussions and getting dressed, should this be required. Therefore, there is no rush and you get your full time for the massage.
Therapeutic massages are designed to suit you. We can discuss what would be most appropriate for you, and your massage can be adjusted between relaxation, deep-tissue and sports massage. I tend to adapt my techniques, depending on what my fingers find.
I massage through all stages of pregnancy.
I use apricot kernel oil. This is a very good quality oil that is often used in facial moisturisers. If you are allergic to this, then please let me know.
Some people feel too shy to expose their legs or arms or back for a massage. This is absolutely fine, my skills are refined enough to work through clothing. Though the stretchier, the better.
If you would like a massage, but have never been to Hampton Osteopathy before, your medical history will be taken on your first visit. This should be easily done within the extra 15 minutes.
Exercises on YouTube - Filming started Dec 2017
I am teaming together with an incredible massage therapist, Karolina from Hands With Feeling, to record some of the common exercises I prescribe.
I'm hoping this will serve as a reminder of how to do any muscle building or stretches that I commonly use to help your body be better. Each clip will be as short as possible, explaining the location of the muscle being targeted and the actual exercise. Short, simple and effective!
Classics on the Green - 2nd July 2017
Classics on the Green is an annual show in the heart of Hampton. Come along and vote for your favourite car.
If you can't make it to the official opening of Hampton Osteopathy on the Saturday, I will be under a large garden umbrella on Sunday 2nd July on the green. It would be lovely if you came to say hello. I am there to help people understand what osteopathy is and hopefully answer any questions you may have.
Official Opening - 1st July 2017
Come and meet me, Yvonne, at my new premises in my lovely home by the river in Hampton. Join us for some bubbly, nibbles and light refreshments. This is your opportunity to ask me about osteopathy and the kind of people I help.
